Greetings from sunny Yuma, AZ. My name is Heather Acosta. I am the founder and owner of Positive Expressionz. I decided to create Positive Expressionz after seeing the high need to help students who display inappropriate behaviors. I decided to start a tutoring business. I soon after fell in love with behaviors which led me to get my degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and then work on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
My Ultimate goal is to provide services to as many children as I can. To help them be confident learners as well as help parents.
Applied Behavior Analysis
We do use the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) when we work with your child. What is ABA? ABA involves many techniques for understanding and changing behavior. ABA is a flexible treatment and the main strategy is POSITIVE REINFORCMENT.
Learning through Play
We are a firm believer in having fun when we learn. This means children will have fun learning and have a good experience. Once they realize that learning is fun they will grow to be confident and successful in their educational careers.

Information:
One-on-One Tutoring
Students will get one-on-one tutoring services that is catered to their educational or behavioral needs.
Assessments:
Pre and Post assessments will be given to student to determine their level and their growth.
Support:
We are here to support you in all your educational needs, this includes but not limited to; IEP meetings, 504 meetings, advocating, and more.
